I was privileged to be able to see a play tonight that young people from my agency I work for created. It was heartbreaking, beautiful, inspiring, and I was absolutely floored that it was created by adolescents. Our youth have stories to share, incredible insight and creativity, and when you give them space to have their voices heard they can send a resounding message of survival and resilience. My heart is full tonight. I loved to see the kids beaming with confidence as they watched their creation being portrayed by actors.
